Katie Holmes reveals what Suri gave her for her 46th birthday.

On Wednesday, friends, colleagues, and family celebrated Katie Holmes' 46th birthday. Among the gifts were those given to her for the occasion by her daughter, Suri Cruz.

The 18-year-old college freshman presented her mother with a gorgeous bouquet of purple roses.

“I am so grateful for all of my blessings💕especially my daughter🌷,” Holmes captioned a photo of the floral arrangement shared on her Instagram story.

Cruz, who currently attends Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, was spotted in New York City on Wednesday to celebrate the special occasion with her mother, who is appearing in the Broadway revival of “Our Town.”

In a separate post to her Instagram Story (captured for posterity by the Daily Mail), Holmes revealed that the cast and crew of Our Town also took time to celebrate the actress' birthday. The Daily Mail reports that backstage at the Barrymore Theatre in midtown Manhattan, the celebration was celebrated with a Happy Birthday serenade and homemade red velvet cake, french fries, and falafel prepared by co-star Bobby Daye.

In a video of the backstage celebration, captioned “Love you all @ourtownbroadway” that Holmes shared on his Instagram Story, Cruise sings to his mother and an old Robert with “Happy B-day Katie! Redford's headshot can be seen being held up.

Holmes, who has always guarded her daughter's privacy, opened up about her approach to parenting in a July 2022 interview with InStyle.

“I love my daughter very much. My main goal has always been to develop my daughter's personality,” Holmes said at the time. 'To allow her to be 100% herself, strong, confident, and able. And to know that.”

More recently, the actress opened up about her newly vacated nest now that Cruz is attending college in Pennsylvania.

“I'm so proud of my daughter,” she told Town & Country in August when the topic of her daughter's college enrollment came up. 'Obviously, I miss being around, but I'm really proud of my daughter, and I'm happy for her.'

Holmes, who was only 19 when “Dawson's Creek” began airing in 1998, said she still remembers the excitement she felt when she was a teen.

“I remember this age, this beginning. It's exciting to learn about myself and it makes me happy to think about it because I loved those days.”
