Winter coded country concert costume ideas
I'm driving my newest Mercedes-Benz G-wagon around the mountains on a cold, winter morning in Utah. A layer of sparkling snow lies on the pavement and surrounds the cliffs. It's hard not to be distracted by the picturesque scenery — you'd think I was climbing a mountain range to enjoy a weekend of skiing and snowboarding, or I'm starring in Netflix's latest Hallmark movie. Instead, I was heading to a lodge in Blue Sky to attend a concert by LeAnn Rimes.
As a Mercedes・Benz guest, I was invited to check out the Auberge Resorts Collection concert series in partnership with the luxury car brand. Country concerts are not what I usually have on the late 11th month calendar — I tend to associate country music with warm summer nights.Because most of the country concerts I've attended are sitting on the lawn in cowboy boots and denim cut-offs where I go and sipping ice-cold drinks. But the costume of my country's concert would look slightly different in the mountains of Utah, where it was 40 degrees at best. Like me, you might ask yourself what to wear for a country concert when it's not in the summer heat. For my concert outfits, I aim to add some cool girl edges to the typical Western style without compromising comfort
[6 First of all, cowboy boots can not be negotiated at concerts in all countries, regardless of the season or the artist. Of course, they are the best pair with dresses and ruffled maxi skirts, but I like them just as good as peeking out from under the latest denim trends
So I chose denim-on-denim clothes in classic Western fashion. I styled my look with straight leg jeans and a denim button-down shirt. I added a lot of silver jewelry, chunky belts, and metal shoulder bags to enhance my look. Finally, I threw in a leather jacket to add a really cool factor, plus I felt my ka for a little extra edgy leather accessories my clothes were carefree and true to the theme, but still high enough to hit the town.
If edgy leather isn't your thing, the Bohemian Fashion Grammy Winner for a softer and more feminine look, as did Rimes, is ready for the second performance of the Auberge Resorts Collection Concert series announced by Mercedes-Benz. (Kate Hudson and Maren Morris are also scheduled to attend). Rimes usually holds something glamorous in a bedazzled or feather gown as a voice judge, but she was looking back at her look for an intimate show.
In true Western fashion, Rimes also wore light tan and white stitched cowboy boots. She paired them with baggy wide-legged jeans, one of the top denim trends of the fall, along with a trendy lace top, a dainty charm ne, a necklace and a ring stacked with diamonds.1 It was an appearance that was casual, stylish, effortless and one equal parts you can easily recreate yourself.
If your personal style falls into the realm of maximalism, you can still fuse your bold creations with the aesthetics of the country — it's a sure way to demand attention with your honky-tonk, for example, the same birthday party dress or New Year's Eve party piece. Rip down your look with a practical jacket, such as an ultra-stylish barn coat. This style is not only suitable for the country feeling, but the juxtaposition combined with the look-at-me sequins is effortlessly cool. Don't forget your ragged chic cowboy boots for that finishing touch.
Cowboy boots costumes may not be up to everyone's alley — I didn't own the pair until the end of last year when fellow editors convinced me you could wear them without feeling like you were heading to the rodeo. We recommend a cowboy hat. Combined with statement pants, fun heels and an edgy leather jacket, you have clothes that you can play with many different aesthetics. It is also a look that gives a subtle nod to the music genre you are listening to, but appears less costumey.
