“Succession” fans, your wait is over, because Netflix's new Australian series “Territory” fills the Kendall Roy-shaped hole in your heart in this six-episode drama that has been compared to HBO's hit and the equally dramatic “Yellowstone.” takes place at Marianne Station, Australia's largest (fictional) cattle ranch and billion-dollar empire led by the Lawson family. After the mysterious death of his successor Daniel Lawson (Jake Ryan), patriarch Colin Lawson (somehow worse than Logan Roy) must choose a new successor from the dysfunctional family.

This must-see series introduces viewers to a new cast of Australian and New Zealand actors who will not only live up to their “Australian Heir” nickname, but will become international stars. Let us introduce you to the talented cast of “Territory.

Emily Lawson (née Hodge) married into the infamous Lawson family and now, nearly 20 years later, is the behind-the-scenes force behind the management of Marianne Station. But her father-in-law, Colin, does not trust her because she is from the Hodge family and has a history of stealing cattle from the ranch. Still, the ambitious rancher is determined to protect his family even in the midst of a succession battle.

Anna Torv is an Australian actress best known for her role as FBI agent Olivia Dunham in the popular FOX series FRINGE. In her native country, she began her career with several recurring roles, including in the youth soap opera The Secret Life of Us. She then appeared in the Netflix thriller series Mindhunter by David Fincher, HBO's The Last of US, the Australian series Secret City, and The Newsreader.

Graham Lawson is the eldest son of the Lawson family, but did not inherit Marianne Station due to his struggle with alcoholism (and perhaps because he married Hodge). Although he longs to continue the family legacy, his father does not respect him, and Graham falls into a loop of self-loathing.

Michael Dorman is a New Zealand-born actor best known for playing NASA astronaut Gord Stevens in the first two seasons of Apple TV+'s For All Mankind. The half-Maori actor made his acting debut in 2002 in “The Secret Life of Us,” and then began appearing in Australian shows and films before moving to the United States with the help of his mentor, Russell Crowe. Dorman has also appeared in the Prime Video drama Patriot, the 2020 horror film Invisible Man, and Netflix's One Piece.

Colin Lawson is the head of the irreverent, tyrannical, and possibly misogynistic Lawson family. After the tragic death of his favorite son Daniel, he attempts to regain control of Marianne Station and keep it in the family while rival cattlemen and mining magnates surround the property like vultures. Will he be the Lawson who loses Marianne Station, or will he emerge unscathed from the succession struggle?

Robert Taylor is a well-known Australian actor, best known for his breakout role in the United States in the Netflix crime drama Longmire and as one of the agents in 1999's The Matrix. His other major credits include 2015's Focus, 2017's Kong: Skull Island, 2018's The Meg, and the period drama News Reader with Anna Torv.

Marshall Lawson, Graham's son and Colin's grandson, faced tragedy when his mother was killed in a car accident at age five. He later became emotionally estranged from his father, who began to struggle with alcoholism, and the distance grew even closer when Graham married Emily and had a daughter, Susie. Marshall left home when he was old enough and traveled all over Australia doing odd jobs until he returned home for his uncle's funeral.

Sam Corlett, 28, grew up in New South Wales, Australia, and worked as a professional model before turning to acting. He made his major acting debut as Caliban, Prince of Hell in Netflix's “The Adventures of Sabrina” and starred as Leif Eriksson in Netflix's “Vikings: Valhalla”. Other credits include short films such as “The Dry” in 2020 and “He Ain't Heavy” in 2024.

Emily and Graham's teenage daughter Susie is determined to become a successful rancher, or ranch owner. When she returns home for her uncle's funeral, she drops out of agricultural college and immediately sets out to begin learning the ropes of farming. Will her determination overcome her grandfather's outdated desire for a male heir?

Philippa Northeast, 30, is a Melbourne-born actress who made her television debut on the legendary Australian soap opera Home and Away. In addition to Territory, her projects include the 2019 comedy Stand Up for Sunny and the second season of The Newsreader. Next, he will co-star with Leighton Meester, Luke Cook, and Devon Terrell in the CW cop drama Good Cop/Bad Cop.

Clarence Ryan plays Nolan Brannock, a cattle rancher and broadcast station owner caught in a succession battle. An indigenous actor, he made his industry debut at the age of 14. In his native country, he has appeared in several stage and film productions and has been nominated for an AACTA Award (Australia's equivalent of an Academy Award or Emmy Award). In the United States, he is best known for his role as Black Sam, the mechanic in Mad Max: Death Road to Rage.

Campbell Miller (top left) is a cattle baron who also has his eye on Marianne Station and will team up with and betray anyone to get her. He also has a history of love affairs since Emily was a hodge-podge.

Jay Ryan was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and moved to Australia at the age of 19. Since appearing on this soap from 2002 to 2005, he has appeared on the New Zealand show Go Girls, the acclaimed drama Top of the Lake, The CW's Beauty and the Beast, the Canadian show Mary Kills People, and 2019's It Chapter Two, among other acclaimed projects.

Sarah Wiseman is a billionaire mining magnate who is overtly anti-Lawson, jumping into the succession mess to take over the land herself. She is played by award-winning Kiwi actress Sandra Kirby, who has appeared in numerous films in New Zealand and Australia. Her credits include the Australian series “A Place to Call Home,” the New Zealand dark comedy “Creamerie” (starring Jay Ryan), the Peacock teen series “One of Us Is Lying,” and 2024's “Planet of the Apes”

Sandra's son Lacey Kirby is trained to help his mother in the family business, but things get complicated when he begins to develop a crush on Susie Lawson. Lacey is played by Joe Krawcheck, familiar to romance fans for his role as Fitz in Prime Video's “My Lady Jane,” and the 29-year-old stage and film actor has appeared on the Australian show “Neighbours,” “Nowhere Boys,” the film ” Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Have No Mouths, and Children of the Corn.

Rich Petrakis is Marshall's best friend and fellow criminal who is not afraid to get into sketchy situations for a quick buck. However, it is unclear whether he sees Marshall as an equal or as a lapdog. Sam Delich is an Australian actor who has appeared in “Home and Away,” the FX series “Mr. Inbetween,” and the Netflix sci-fi film “Spiderhead.”

Kyla Day plays Marshall's other best friend and Rich's girlfriend, Sharney Kennedy. 26-year-old Day is an Indigenous Australian actress and model who has previously appeared on the Australian shows Itch and Scrublands.
