The Princess of Wales, who announced her cancer diagnosis in March, and her husband shared two photos from their private visit, writing, “Glad to meet Liz today in Windsor. She is a talented young photographer whose creativity and strength have inspired us both. Thanks for sharing your photos and story with us. ❤️ W&C”
In the first photo, Princess Catherine hugs Liz Hutton tightly as the teenager's mother looks on with a proud smile; in the second, Prince William looks dashing in his military uniform, his familiar burgundy Laurent Mouret suit and tan top He poses with his wife, a 16-year-old photographer, his mother, stepfather, and brother.
The BBC reported on Liz's story in June, reporting that the teenager “was diagnosed with a desmoplastic small round cell tumor in January” and received the devastating news that he had “six months to three years to live.”
Despite the circumstances, the 16-year-old photographer has pursued her photography bucket list. According to the Daily Mail, she was invited to take pictures at the investiture ceremony presided over by Prince William at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
The princess often takes photos of her children for birthdays and other milestones and is a patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
As for Liz, her mother Vicky told the BBC that she emphasizes giving back to others whenever she can. 'She's very kind and she's always thinking about what she's going to give to the nurses on the ward. [So it's really, really nice that other people go out of their way to help her.
