Donna Kelce, married to Ed, “stayed put” and “stayed together for the kids.

Donna Kelce wimped out about her marriage to Ed Kelce, who shares athlete sons Jason and Travis Kelce.

In a conversation with Tina Knowles, Mandy Teefey, Maggie Baird, and other famous mothers as part of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, they discussed the line in Barbie's film, “We mothers stop to reflect on how far our daughters have come! to reflect on how far they have come.”

Baird, mother of Billie Eilish and Phineas, agreed to some extent, but said it was a “balance” and that she thought mothers should also break down their own walls.

“I agree. I think it's a mix of both,” Donna replied.

“I was a commercial banker in a couple of states. I wanted to get ahead. I worked really hard. I was the head of the family. I think it's important to show our children that women can do anything they want. [The mother of two children explained the major ways she “had to stop” when she was younger. 'My husband and I knew our marriage wasn't working, but we stayed together for the sake of our children. We had a very amicable relationship,” she said. So we were able to do that and make sure that our children's lives were as normal as possible. But on that one point I stopped for a few years until I could move on my own.”

Donna was married to Ed for 25 years beginning in the late 1970s, and Jason was born in 1987 and Travis in 1989 (like a certain Taylor Swift, if you recall). They divorced after their children graduated from college.

In the 2023 documentary Kelce, Donna and Ed previously admitted that they were “together for the kids,” as reported by Us Weekly.

These days, the former spouses remain close and get together to support their high-achieving sons.
