Read MoreEarlier this month, Princess Kate and Prince William publicly celebrated Prince Harry's 40th birthday by sending their best wishes via social media. According to a new report, Kate Middleton may have been the “driving force” behind the birthday messages shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official social accounts.
King Charles and Queen Camilla also posted a lovely photo of the Duke of Sussex on social media to wish the Prince a milestone birthday. With rumors of a royal family feud, some fans were surprised that William and Kate would deliver a public message for Harry. However, one purported insider suggested that the Princess of Wales encouraged the sweet gesture.
“The Princess made it clear to William that this was no time for resentment, that they needed to show the world that love and family are central to their values, but more importantly, she wanted this message to be delivered on Harry's big day,” the insider told the Express. [He is] slowly putting into practice his vow to restore some kind of peace and forgiveness between the estranged royal and his family before it is too late.”
The magazine's insider also noted that the “olive branch” was received favorably, suggesting that Princess Kate is serious about bringing the royal family back together.
“Princess Kate called Prince Harry and presented him with a thoughtful gift,” the source claimed.
Prince Harry turned 40 on September 15. On that day, the Duke of Sussex attended the George Zaziphen Tennis Tournament in Los Angeles with his wife, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex. The event was held in honor of George Zazifen, the late son of the couple's friends Kelly McKee Zazifen and Julian Zazifen.
The Duke was unusually personal about his significant birthday, explaining to the BBC, “I was anxious at 30, but excited at 40. Whatever my age, my mission is to keep showing up and keep doing good in the world.”
