While the curiosity surrounding her sister's cancer battle continued, her brother, James Middleton, made a rare comment about the royal's health.
“She's fine,” he told the TODAY Show on September 26 during an interview promoting his new book, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life.
“It's not how everything is going, you know, for me to share on her behalf,” the royal brother continued.
“But she is getting all the proper support and focus that she needs.
James credited his sisters Kate and Pippa for helping him with his clinical depression, but said that Princess Kate's road to recovery is ongoing and “like anything, it takes time to process.”
Regarding the touching Instagram post the princess shared after revealing her diagnosis, James, who wrote that the Middletons “climbed a lot of mountains together,” said that he and Kate would also climb this mountain “together” and that he felt the sentiment was appropriate for an outdoor-oriented family.
“I love the metaphor of climbing mountains,” he told TODAY. 'It's something we've done as a family for a long time. You have to respect the mountain.”
As for his battle with depression, the founder of James & Ella's Dog Food said his famous sister and her husband, Prince William, were instrumental in his recovery.
“Princess Catherine and Prince William are both involved in mental health charities and works, and I got help from them. Princess Catherine and Prince William have been a great bridge for my family to be able to translate how I feel,” he said in an interview.
As for the return to work of the Princess of Wales, plans are underway for an annual Christmas concert, giving royal fans a glimpse of what it will be like.
On September 26, the Crown Princess also shared the backstory of her secret visit to the ballet company. In a post to the prince and princess's Instagram Story, she wrote:” Congratulations to @ENBallet and @Sadlers_Wells on a wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan's 'Giselle'.
