Prince Charles “opens the door” to Prince Harry in strategic move, royal experts claim.

The relationship between father Prince Charles and Prince Harry is highly unsatisfactory as it stands, but one royal expert believes there is a possibility of breaking the impasse between the two.

Regarding the Duke of Sussex's impending visit to his home country and the possibility of a reconciliation, Hugo Vickers told The Sun, “Well, he seems to be here quite often.”

He added, “If he keeps coming, there's at least a chance he'll meet his father at some stage.

“I think the road is pretty long, but it's good that he feels he can come here anyway.”

Harry recently confirmed that he will be in the UK to attend the Wellchild Awards on September 30, an announcement that of course has fueled speculation that he may catch his father or brother Prince William during his stay.

“If the King wants to see him, he will arrange to meet him. 'If the king doesn't want to see him, he is probably too busy. It's that simple.”

The expert's analysis is consistent with the events of Harry's last visit to the UK in May. At the time, Prince Charles explained that he could not see his son in California because “the program was full,” which many commentators interpreted as a snub.

Still, one sign that there may be room for reconciliation is that both the King and the Crown Prince exchanged birthday wishes for Harry earlier this month.

Since Prince Charles never comments publicly on his conflicts with his younger son, “the King is certainly opening the door for Harry,” Vickers said.

But as for whether Harry will be able to see his brother this time, experts say not to get your hopes up.

“I think it's more likely that he will meet with the king,” Vickers said.

“I don't think Prince William has any particular desire to meet his brother. They were recently at (their uncle) Lord Fellowes' funeral, or memorial service, in Norfolk”

.

“They haven't actually spoken to him, so I don't think they would particularly want to see him.”
