Exes Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have kept their daughter Kai, who turned 4 on September 19, out of the spotlight, choosing not to show her face on social media or reveal many details about their child, including her last name. But even though Hadid did not show her daughter's face in an Instagram post on Thursday, she did reveal Kai's full name in the process.

“Our daughter is 4 today and we celebrated all week!!! And the supermodel captioned her celebratory post, saying that her daughter “loves animals (even the fantastic ones), music, baby Yoda, nature and bugs in general, decendents, squishy and miniature things, and preferably in the water from dawn to dusk.”

[3 Hadid has posted many birthday celebrations, including a shot of her and Kai paddling in a glass-bottomed kayak and a close-up of a Yoda-themed cake.

One photo, however, was particularly personal, showing off a scroll addressed to “Kai Malik,” thereby ending speculation as to whether the couple chose Hadid's last name or the former member of One Direction's moniker.

The “Descendants”-themed paper invited 4-year-old Kai to attend Auradon School, which is featured in the Disney film and seemed to fit Kai's interests perfectly.

Hadid and Malik split in 2021 after accusations that he beat Hadid's mother Yolanda. The singer shared his own birthday tribute to Kai on Instagram, calling her “the most important person in my life.”

Other photos showed Hadid's casual mom look, including one in which she wore a brown trucker hat and baggy coat as she walked alongside Kai on a white horse with a rainbow-colored mane and tail.

In another shot, she checks out Kai's cake in paint-splattered camo cargo pants and flip-flops, while the birthday girl wears festive pink cowboy boots.

“She is curious, adventurous, loving, and very resourceful ⚡️⚡️ Khai- being your mom is the greatest joy and pride of my life! . Hadid continued in her post, adding that her 4-year-old reminds her to “live each day to the fullest in the simplest and most beautiful way.”
