Olivia Munn and John Mulaney give birth to their second child via surrogacy.

John Mullaney and Olivia Mann became parents for the second time!

On Sunday, September 22, the proud parents announced the arrival of their second child via surrogate in a touching Instagram post featuring photos of their new addition.

“Mei Jun Mulaney was born into this world on September 14, 2024, in the Year of the Dragon ᐉ,” Mun wrote, announcing not only their daughter's arrival but also her name, which means “plum” in Chinese.

“I had many deep feelings about not being able to carry my daughter,” she continued.

“When I first met my gestational surrogate, we spoke mother-to-mother. She showed so much kindness and understanding that I thought I had found a real angel. Words cannot express how grateful we are that she protected our baby for 9 months and made our dreams come true."

Now a mom of two, she ended her touching announcement by saying, “I am so proud of my little Plum, my little dragon, who made the journey to be with us.”

“My heart exploded,” she concluded.

In her Instagram post, Mulaney wrote, “May June Mulaney was born into this world on September 14, 2024, in the Year of the Dragon🐉. I stole so much from the hospital. I love my little girl so much."

The birth of the couple's second child came in the wake of Munn's breast cancer diagnosis, which she detailed in a previous interview with People. 15]

“You realize that cancer doesn't care who you are, it doesn't care if you have a baby or no time,” she said at the time and after learning that she had Luminal B (a fast-growing, aggressive cancer) in both breasts,

she told the magazine.

“It hits you and you have no choice but to face it head on,” she continued.

Within 30 days of her diagnosis, Munn underwent lymph node dissection, nipple delay (a surgical procedure to preserve the nipple), and double mastectomy.

“I had great doctors, but it was still a negotiation sometimes, what to do,” she recalled. 'But I'm glad I did it. I want to keep what's left of me that I can keep."

She also said that she was ”very happy to be able to do it.

The actress also underwent Lupron treatment in November 2023, a partial hysterectomy/oophorectomy in April 2024, and most recently Arimidex treatment in August 2024, People reported.

In a previous interview with Vogue magazine, Munn revealed that after her diagnosis, she decided to freeze her eggs, giving her and Mulaney a chance to expand their family.

The birth of their daughter came just months after they decided to have a small, intimate ceremony at a friend's house in New York City, People reported at the time.
