Read MoreOn Monday, Princess Kate announced in an emotional Instagram video that she had completed her chemotherapy cancer treatment.
“The last nine months have been incredibly hard for us as a family,” she wrote in the caption. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we've had to find ways to navigate rough waters and unknown paths.” The intimate post also included rare private footage of Princess Kate and Prince William's children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) enjoying family time.
Kate Middleton's brother, James Middleton, responded to the beautiful Instagram post, commenting, “I couldn't be more proud” (via The Sun). James' sweet message echoes the sentiments of royal fans around the world and shows just how close the members of the Middleton family are.
Kate's caption continues. “The cancer journey is complicated, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to us. It can be humbling, and it can also bring us face to face with our own vulnerabilities that we may not have considered before, and with that comes a new perspective on it all.”
Princess Kate also spoke of her plans to return to official royal duties in the coming months, reflecting on the difficult year she has endured. She said, “This time, more than anything else, William and I have come to reflect on and appreciate the simple, important things in life that so many of us tend to take for granted. To simply love and be loved."
Looking to the future, the Crown Princess said, ”My focus now is to do what I can to keep cancer at bay. My chemotherapy is over, but the road to healing and full recovery is a long one, and I must take it one day at a time.”
According to a recent report in The Sunday Times, Kate may appear at a Remembrance Sunday service in London on November 10. The report also suggests that she may be planning to attend the “Together at Christmas” concert held each festive season at Westminster Abbey.
For now, it is clear that Kate has the full support of her extended family, which is incredibly heartwarming.
