Apparently SZA had a “snooze” at the 2024 VMA.

SZA, who canceled her performance at last year's MTV Video Music Awards, was scheduled to attend the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer is one of the most nominated artists at tonight's show, along with Taylor Swift and Beyonce, with nominations for Best Artist of the Year, Best Song of the Year, and Best Video of the Year. However, it appears that the singer ultimately decided to hit “snooze” and skip the awards ceremony.

SZA previously attended the 2021 VMAs, but it was too late to walk the carpet. However, she did take the stage with Doja Cat to receive the award for best collaboration for “Kiss Me More”; SZA wore a 3D printed Nusi Quero look, while Doja Cat transformed into an earthworm with the help of designer Thom Browne.

SZA's style has certainly come a long way since her first VMAs in 2018, when she walked the pink carpet in a textured light pink Rodarte midi dress and neon yellow pedicure.

SZA was scheduled to perform at the 2023 VMAs, but declined to perform after being eliminated in the artist of the year category. Thankfully, MTV did not make the same mistake this year.
