At 11, Prince George is already learning to fly.

This little prince is ready to take flight.

Prince George is only 11 years old, but like his father, Prince William, the pre-teen is already staring at the sky.

According to The Sun, the Prince and Princess took George to a place steeped in royal history on September 4, giving him his first flying lesson before he starts school.

Prince George took his first flight at Waltham Airfield in Berkshire, England, the same place where his great-grandfather, Prince Philip, had received pilot training years earlier.

One onlooker told The Sun that while proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton “watched George take off from the safety of the ground,” the pre-teen “flew with an instructor and loved it.”

The prince's lesson took “just under an hour,” according to the outlet. He loved it. It's a good time to start,” the official added.

According to The Sun, George and his parents also visited the airfield clubhouse, where witnesses described them as “pretty chilled.”

Prince William, Prince Harry, and Prince Charles are all trained pilots, but George is taking lessons a step further by flying at such a young age.

The Prince of Wales, who worked as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, did not begin his training until he joined the Royal Air Force.

And it was in his 30s that Prince Philip began training at the same airfield.

It was a busy week for Prince George's family after his mother released a personal video announcing that he had completed chemotherapy for an undisclosed cancer.

And on September 12, his father, Prince William, revisited his military roots by seeing off a Royal Air Force cadet graduating from the same aviation school where he earned his wings in 2008.

Perhaps Prince George will be able to take his parents for a ride one of these days.
