The biggest night in television is almost upon us, and while the 2023 Emmys were postponed eight months ago, the 2024 Emmys will take place in the fall as planned, and the awards ceremony is back on track. This year's ceremony will celebrate shows that first aired between June 2023 and May 2024, and will be a memorable reunion of the stars of the year's most notable programs.
This year's nominees range from beloved comedies to eye-popping reality shows, pop culture wonders, and the most epic (and expensive) shows ever produced. The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on ABC on Sunday, September 15 at 8pm ET/5pm ET. This year, the event will be held at L.A. Live's Peacock Theater in downtown L.A.
Cable viewers can tune in to their local ABC channel or use their cable TV login to watch on their computer or via ABC's website or app. They can watch from their smartphones.
If you don't have cable, there are also ways to watch the Emmys online: live streaming TV services such as Fubo TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube Live provide access to ABC (with free trials).3 hour awards ceremony is streamed on Hulu the next day, and subscribers can watch the Emmys for a week after the broadcast.

The Emmy Awards ceremony will be hosted by the charming father-son duo of Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, who in 2020 swept the comedy categories that year with their beloved TV series Schitt's Creek, which was an isolated comfort for many. The two won the award for Outstanding Comedy Series Production, Eugene won Best Actor in a Comedy, and Dan won three more awards (for Best Writing, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy).

As for the nominees, “Shogun” and “The Bear” are the two most acclaimed shows of the year, with 25 and 23 nominations, respectively. As of last weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, “Shogun” had already broken the record for most Emmys with 14, and is expected to win even more at the primetime ceremony. And with seven trophies last season, including Best Guest Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, “The Bear” is also likely to win big awards in its outstanding second season.
Other shows topping the nomination list include “Only Murders in the Building,” “True Detective: Night Country,” “The Crown,” “Fallout,” “Hux,” “The Morning Show,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith. ,” ‘Fargo,’ ‘Ripley,’ ‘Baby Reindeer,’ and ”Palm Royale.”
