Are Rob Rausch and Cassy Castillo of Love Island USA still dating?
Spoilers ahead for all episodes of “Love Island USA” Season 6 In the world of “Love Island USA,” contestants have to make the most of their time, no matter how brief it is In the finale of this hit July 21 on Peacock Season 6 of the reality show, several contestants did just that. In particular, Rob Rausch and Cassy Castillo shared three hot and passionate days as a couple. First-day Islander Rob went through a lot of coupling to find Cassy, and now fans are wondering if the 27-day couple was able to continue dating after the cameras stopped rolling.
Read on to find out everything we know about this couple and their life outside the villa.
Season 6 was not Robert “Rob” Rausch's first shot at love on reality TV. The 25-year-old snake charmer from Florence, Alabama, who dropped the Casa Amor bombshell on “Love Island USA” Season 5, failed to find a serious match and was dumped from the villa five days later. In Season 6, he arrived as a first-day Islander, and his quick and tumultuous connection with Leah Kateb made him stand out.
Rob was not one of the contestants who found a long-term connection early in the show. In Season 6, after a brief coupling with Leah, Olivia “Liv” Walker, Andrea Carmona, and Cassidy Raudano, he met and paired with Daniela Ortiz-Rivera in Casa Amor. She is 23-year-old Cassandra “Cassy” Castillo from Fort Worth, Texas.
Cassy and Rob had a history before they met again at the villa. Cassy is also a returnee from Season 5, returning to Love Island USA in Season 6 after being one of the runner-up couples with her ex-boyfriend Leonardo Dionisio. (Cassy and Leo broke up in October 2023, two months after the Season 5 finale.) ) She and Rob hit it off in “Casa Amor,” but they did not become a couple and went into Season 6 with unfinished business.
After Rob and Daniela were selected as a bottom two couple on Day 27, Cassy had a chance to be paired with either Rob or Harrison Luna, another Season 5 alumna who was in one of the bottom two couples. Kassie chose to be paired with Rob and they spent three days together before being eliminated as the 6th place couple on day 30.
Rob and Kassie ended the season together, but he shared another explosive connection with Leah after they became a couple on day one. Rob and Leah were initially together for one day before Rob was stolen away by Liv, but he continued to focus on Leah over the next few days, eventually re-coupling on the fourth day.
However, sparks flew between the two when big shot actress Andrea entered the villa and chose Rob as her date, and Rob was conflicted about being with Leah. Eventually, he chose to couple with Andrea on the eighth day, leading to a fight with Leah. Leah ended up being part of the runner-up couple of season 6, along with Miguel Haraichi.
Although their romance went nowhere on Villa, a large part of the fandom hoped (and still does) that Leah and Rob would reconcile later in the season; during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on July 23, Rob “stopped liking Leah There was never a time,” he admitted.
“I think we're going to be great friends when all is said and done, and I just want to focus on that right now,” he admitted, according to Vulture. 'She's a great person. Very funny. I'm always laughing when I'm with her.”
Rob and Cassy have yet to say whether they are still together after season 6. They follow each other on Instagram, but neither has posted about the other in the days since the July 21 finale. Rob briefly touched on his time with Cassy in an interview with Call Her Daddy, where he said he had no regrets about dating her so soon after they became a couple.
In addition to Cassy, fans also wondered if Rob would reunite with Andrea after they returned to the real world after filming; after coupling on Day 8, Rob and Andrea seemed like a solid couple who got along well. On Day 11, however, they were in danger of being eliminated from the competition, placing them in the bottom two couples in the national voting. Rob was saved by the men who received the most votes, but Andrea was not saved and was dumped from the island.
According to Us Weekly, Rob admitted that he was “smitten” with Andrea after spending time with her as a couple on “Call Her Daddy,” but now regrets “100%” that he considered leaving the show for Andrea. Rob also mentioned Andrea's social media activity after leaving the show, as she has discussed him extensively in her TikTok posts.
“I've talked to her a little bit, but maybe I should keep my distance right now,” Rob said. 'There's a lot going on, she posts a lot. I was like, 'You post a lot about us. I think she's a great girl. She hasn't done anything wrong. When she left, she was in a position where she could have said a lot of mean things and said, 'Oh, you're all bitches for doing this, crap, crap.' She never said a word. She just said how much she cared about me and left. I thought that was very nice of her. So I was kind of surprised that there were so many submissions."

In a June 26 interview with TODAY, Andrea expressed her excitement about seeing Rob again in the real world.
“I obviously want the best for [him],” she told the outlet. 'At the end of the day, if there is someone there for him, that would be great because it would be a favor to me. If he finds someone there, fine. Then that means it wasn't meant to be for us, and I can accept it and move on. In contrast, I find it more difficult now. It's like a waiting game. He has a potential connection and I am back in the real world. Obviously, part of me wants to rekindle and see if what we had over there was real. After all is said and done, I want to have a conversation with him regardless. What I felt was not made up. I still feel that now.”
