Laura Harrier's Reformation Collection is a shortcut to dressing like a 90s style icon.

[From Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner to Selena Gomez and Olivia Rodrigo, Reformation has been attracting It girls since its inception in 2009. Fifteen years after its inception, the label has finally tapped one of its best-dressed customers to design a collection.

Laura Harrier, BlacKkKlansman actress and Fashion Week front row regular, lent her it-girl eye to the 18-piece Reformation capsule collection available online today. The lineup incorporates Reformation's usual dead-stock materials and vintage-inspired aesthetic into Harrier's personal style, expressed in clingy one-shoulder tops, cowl-neck halters, and tinny mini-skirts. More than a capsule wardrobe, it's a starter pack to put on someone's style mood board: minimalist and sexy, the items were photographed on their way to dinner at a celebrity hot spot like Sushi Park in West Hollywood (or the nearest affiliate). It's a uniform to be photographed and get outfit inspiration in the process.

Most 21st century it-girls have developed their own style with a little help from memorable outfits from decades past. When it came to designing a collection with Reformation, Laura Harrier paid homage to the wardrobe musees of the 1990s.

“I love the style of the 1990s and wanted to express how it influenced the way I dress,” says Harrier.

“Women from that era like Caroline Bessette-Kennedy, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Gwyneth Paltrow are the ones I always reference in my personal style, so I wanted this to be a little ode to them.”

It's not hard to imagine Harrier's influences walking around New York or London wearing the clothes she dreamed up. (The sparkly kitty mini-dress says “early Kate Moss” on it. The leopard-print Eleanor jacket, which can be styled like a dress with sandals, is exactly what Naomi Campbell would wear to a late-night fashion party circa 1998; the original minimalists of the '90s (and their current followers) would wear a body fitted Etta tube dress with strappy sandals and tiny oval sunglasses. [Stylish celebrities with enough fans can shop and co-design collections almost anywhere. Harrier had sentimental reasons for joining forces with Reformation.

“I first started buying Reformation at a store on New York's Lower East Side that had a core line plus a vintage assortment,” says Harrier.

“And I remember wanting to own everything they made.

Someone sees her capsule collection and has the exact same reaction. That's the power of It Girl.
