First, in May, Bella Hadid admitted that the Capri pants trend was back. Two months later, she used her return from a July 14 photo shoot to demonstrate exactly how to elevate throwback pants.

Bella Hadid took a break from her Horsegirl outfit to take her Capri pants in a sophisticated, minimalist direction. Assisted by stylist Molly Dixon, Hadid contrasted the slim-fitting silhouette of her black capris with Guizio's dreamy white top. Featuring a romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, puff sleeves, and keyhole cutouts, it was like a cloud contrast to the classic capri.

With a few choice accessories, Hadid took the high contrast top and capri pants in an early 2000s direction. An oversized Coach hobo bag was slung over her shoulder and Sandy Liang mules were worn. Oval sunglasses (even though it was nighttime!) completed the look.

Hadid's street style has a habit of leaning toward unexpected vintage and long-lost sneaker trends, but her return to Capri has a Fashion Week precedent. From Coperni to Tory Burch to Ferragamo, knee-length bottoms filled the runways of the Spring/Summer 2024 collections, ushering in a trend revival of Capri pants embraced by celebrities from Kendall Jenner to Elsa Hosk. Hadid clearly took notice: one of her first outfits, styled by Molly Dixon, came from a May press stint for her fragrance Orêbella, and featured the sporty matching bomber jacket worn on the runway with It was Ferragamo's catwalk version with slide sandals.

Bella Hadid returned to New York last week for a campaign promotion and photo shoot, showing off her street style. Her fashion look wasn't all about the Capri pants trend. Hours after pairing black cropped leggings with a Gigio top, Hadid was out again in head-to-toe Saint Laurent, including a matching utility jacket and pants, leather boots, and a brown satchel.
