Gigi and Bella Hadid wear the Horse Girl trend two different ways on the same day

This summer, urban cowgirls ruled street style, from Beyonce in double denim to Kendall Jenner in modest overalls. And siblings Gigi and Bella Hadid decided to show everyone the Western rope by riding the horsegirl trend in two different ways on the same day, in the same city.

Early Monday morning, July 15, Gigi Hadid stopped by the nearest New York City bodega to run a few errands. Ready to go to pilates in the morning and line dancing in the afternoon, she paired a straw cowgirl hat with a ribbed white tank top, black leggings, and paisley sandals.

Hadid wore a gold necklace over the tank top, the same one she styled with a slip skirt last week. At the time, it added a touch of sophistication to an already dressy outfit. This time, Hadid brought a high-low contrast to her down-to-earth style.

Gigi Hadid's take on the horsegirl trend ultimately came down to one accessory. A bit more uptown, Bella Hadid leaned a bit more toward the boho chic cowgirl.

Leaving the Bowery hotel, Bella Hadid wore a baby t-shirt with an illustration of a baby deer (sweet!) ) in cut-off denim shorts. She also carried a suede shoulder bag and wore leather cowboy boots in true rope and riding style. (Hadid's stylist, Molly Dixon, has yet to tell us where these boots were sourced from.) It was a night or two different from the previous night's look of Capri pants and a white top. While that look was minimalist and sophisticated, this look was beautifully distorted on the edges.

While some celebrities are new to the horse-girl trend, Bella and Gigi Hadid stay true to it. They both grew up riding horses and often visit ranches outside of New York City. Bella Hadid has even moved a few hundred miles away to Texas, where she reportedly competes in barrel racing when not promoting her fragrance line, Orêbella.

This life in the stables has also affected the sisters' outfits. Gigi has dabbled in the vast expanse of white skirts, while Bella has tried on everything from Canadian tuxedos to the eyelet lace trend to vintage Gucci pants with a Western flair. In short, this horsegirl trend is big enough for both of them.
