Kendall Jenner barefoot at the Louvre in a romantic black skirt set

Sometimes the most coveted after-fashion items at Paris Couture Week are the ones celebrities choose not to wear. Just ask Kendall Jenner, who put aside her It shoes to go barefoot in the Louvre on a date with her Bad Bunny.

One night, dressed in black for a FWRD party (Jenner is the creative director), they stopped at the Louvre for a private dinner. Jenner was photographed entering the museum wearing a black crop top with an open back and deep V cut in the front, paired with a translucent ruffle skirt and black kitten heels. She was most likely styled by longtime collaborator Dani Michel.

Bad Bunny wore a white button-down with floral embroidery, khaki pants, and chunky brown loafers.

Jenner's dainty shoes didn't last long. In a photo published on Instagram the next morning, June 26, the model gave her followers a glimpse of an empty museum. In the first shot, which appears to have been taken by Bud Bunny, Jenner stands in front of Paolo Veronese's "Wedding at Cana" in a crop top and black skirt. Her kitten heels are nowhere to be seen.

The couple enjoyed an evening of art on their date night at the museum. Jenner posted another shot of them gazing at Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. This shot shows off the asymmetrical hem of her skirt and Jenner's lack of footwear, along with the eerily empty room in front of the legendary painting. (On average, more than 15,000 tourists stop by the Louvre each day, and the area around the Mona Lisa is the most crowded with tourists.)

The painting is also the most popular in the world.

Frankly, Jenner's decision to take off her kitten heels is a relatable move: even in the midst of couture week, fashion girls' feet need a break.

Whenever Kendall Jenner logs onto Instagram, she manages to provide travel and outfit inspiration all at once. In recent weeks, she has posed everywhere from a yacht at sunset in Majorca (in a sheer lavender Khaite dress) to on horseback in the California hills (in a relatable button-down and jeans). Her Paris date with Bud Bunny was a veritable wanderlust-fueled affair, with hard-to-book restaurants like LouLou and sophisticated outfits from Jacquemus and sister Kylie Jenner's label, Khyty.

Her private evening at the Louvre is never within reach, but her chic black set is. Inspired by Kendall Jenner, the matching skirt set should be worn barefoot, or at least with mesh flats.
