Read MoreJennifer Lawrence isn't letting New York's sweltering heat stop her from enjoying her daily stroll in the summer trend of parachute pants on Tuesday, June 25, as the No Hard Feelings star was photographed enjoying a casual day out with friends in Manhattan.
Laurel.
Lawrence opted for crisp layers for her afternoon stroll, including a slightly oversized white T-shirt. She wore a linen-beige button-down shirt over a basic T-shirt, unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up loosely to the elbows.
Laurence paired her look, which consisted of an oversized silhouette, with ultra-baggy parachute pants. The loose-fitting bottoms have a drawstring waist and are not tailored at the legs, making them almost floor-length. She wore the slouchy style in butter yellow, the trendy color of the year (and one of Lawrence's favorites).
The 33-year-old clearly contrasted her #OOTD bright color palette with all-black accessories. She finished off her street style look with suede black slides from The Row. She also slung an XXL size maxi bag over her shoulder and kept it understated with a pair of black sunglasses.
Leave it to the actress to maintain her effortless casual street style regardless of the season (or the scorching New York temperatures). More often than not, Lawrence is consistent when it comes to her favorite brands and silhouettes.
The actress is clearly a fan of parachute pants. Over the weekend, she paired the same bright red bottoms with a similar T-shirt and the same black tote bag. She paired them with red fishnet jelly flat shoes from The Row, a black bucket hat from the same brand, and turtle sunglasses from Luv Lou.
Lawrence's latest look incorporates 2000s-inspired parachute pants, which have made a comeback, replacing tight, restrictive pants like skinny jeans, along with styles like cargo, balloon, and barrel-leg bottoms. The "Hunger Games" star joins the likes of Bella Hadid, Emily Rutkowski, and Jennifer Lopez, who have proudly adopted the sartorial motto, "Big is good," into their everyday lives. Although super wide and low-slung (and in some cases, super long), Lawrence easily pulls off the bottoms, proving that they are much easier to wear than one might think.
Go ahead, buy a similar pair of parachute pants inspired by Jennifer Lawrence's New York street style look.
