Model and reality star Kendall Jenner doesn't always follow the latest trends. Instead, she creates trends.

On Saturday, June 15, the famous member of the Jenner-Kardashian clan posted a series of black-and-white photos on her Instagram, highlighting her recent trip to Majorca, apparently in a summer 2024 swimsuit.

According to stylist Mickey Freeman, rather than leaning entirely on the recent resurgence of tankinis, a somewhat surprising fashion comeback that Carmen Electra is credited with starting in the 1990s, Jenner opted for a barely-there string bikini with an equally combined with a small, beach-worthy wrap tied below the waist, seemed to kick off a trend of its own.

Jenner completed her laid-back look with a vintage hair scarf and sunglasses, adding a retro twist.

Jenner's string bikini was reminiscent of other two-piece suits she has worn in previous Instagram posts, including a bright green string bikini in May. In January, long before swimsuit season, Jenner also insisted on a classic string bikini and shared a carousel of photos on Instagram of her wearing a coral-colored Deparelle micro knit bikini.

That same month, Jenner shared more photos of the model lounging beachside in another handmade Deparelle knitkini, this time in lime green.

Jenner seems to be single-handedly creating the 2024 swimwear trend, but the tankini's comeback is certainly here to stay. 13]

According to Freeman, who previously spoke to Marie Claire, tankinis have "more top-heavy for women with larger busts. many positive qualities that can accommodate a more top-heavy physique."

The tankini "has a lot of positive qualities that can be used to help women with larger breasts.

"Also, thanks to the longer tank silhouette and the cover bottom, which can consist of briefs, shorts, or skirts, it provides full coverage," Freeman added at the time.

"That's quite an attraction for those who don't like revealing swimsuits."

There are many cuts and fabrics to choose from, ranging from minimalist tankinis to mid-rise, patterned, and one-shoulder tankinis.
