Jennifer Lawrence revives the leopard print trend in the front row of Dior

Every year the leopard print trend seems to make a "comeback.""After dominating culture in the late 90s and early 2000s, around the fall/Winter of 2016, we returned to the runway with iconic prints of fur coats and dresses in collections from Prada and Moschino to Dolce & Gabbana. Perhaps everyone will remember the leopard print midi skirt trends that took over 2019, when the chic mother owned the same silk number (and fashion brands recreated them in droves). Now Jennifer Lawrence is using her front row style to say that the leopard print trend is really back.

After traveling abroad in double denim and mesh flats, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted wearing a print while attending Dior's Cruise 6-3 Catwalk show at Drummond Castle in Perthshire, Scotland, 2025 (Pun not intended). The actress wore her Dior leopard print fur wrap coat, which was cinched at the waist with a black leather belt with a golden Christian Dior logo buckle.

Beneath the fur, Lawrence, styled by Jamie Mizrahi, layered a basic white ribbed Dior tank top with a small black stitched Bumblebee logo and "CD."She paired the top with inky blue Dior wide-leg flared jeans. Her black accessories — Jennifer Bale headband, large square Dior sunglasses, a small Lady D-Joy bag, pointed toe leather J'adior sling bag sleeves with a cuff on the last touch that reveals the black interior of the jacket.

J.Law may be a trendsetter, but she didn't start the big leopard print revival in 2024. Prints have also appeared in the autumn-winter runway shows of Zimmerman, Versace, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen and Isabel Malan.

Lawrence's look is a tamer offering from the new Dior Resort collection, merging Vivienne Westwood-inspired punk corsets, grungey patterns, and plaid, with 90s newspaper prints, biker girl studs, and lots of leather belts.

The Star is a regular at a French fashion house runway show. Earlier this year, Lawrence wore a Dior grey three-piece tweed suit to the Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris. That same month, she chose a strapless polka-dot Dior couture gown and matching shawl for the Oscar Red Carpet. Compared to these outfits, Lawrence's leopard print moment is a step in the direction of casual, just in time for the summer.
