Beyonce's enigmatic Instagram post in flag cape and micro mini shorts

It's hard to miss that Beyoncé is entering a new fashion era. In honor of her recently released album, Cowboy Carter, Beyonce has spent the past few months refining all her western wear, from tall hats to bolo ties to yee-haw boots. Amid speculation that Beyoncé will embark on another tour in the near future, she has nailed the BeyHive with her pointedly styled Instagram posts.

In her latest Instagram photo from Tuesday, May 7, the "II Hands II Heaven" singer reintroduced two more Americana-core silhouettes into her rotation: a decked-out fringe jacket and tinny little shorts.

Her outfit consisted of a faded white graphic T-shirt and a pair of loose-fitting cobalt blue denim shorts. The micro-mini bottoms are frayed at the hem and cinched at the waist with a wide black leather belt purchased from vintage store Linea Pelle.

The "16 Carriages" diva embodied the American flag in the rest of her outfit. She wore a red suede jacket with white fringe throughout and blue star-studded lapels and cuffs. She also wore platform boots with blue and white stars on one shoe and red and white stripes on the other. In cowboy Carter style, he wore a black cowboy hat and an actual American flag as a cape.

In another photo, the 42-year-old is in the backseat of a car, changing into a pair of sky-high slouchy leather boots. She also takes off her cowboy hat and wraps an American flag headscarf around her platinum blonde hair. Blue and silver diamond-studded jewelry, large silver hoop earrings, and a red croc-embossed mini purse complete her pictured look. (Stylist Shiona Turini has yet to share exact credits.)

Beyoncé's latest Instagram post, as usual without a caption, sends mixed signals to fans. Some of the carousel images, including one of her cuddling up to singer Chloe Bailey, look like BTS photos from Coachella a few weeks ago, while others indicate that she is preparing for something, as seen in an empty warehouse.

Beyoncé's recent Instagram updates could be hinting at a second world tour, following the first album of her three-act project, Renaissance. When it comes to her music, she is always moving with intention. Her recent fashion and cryptic updates could mean that fans will be receiving tour notices in their inboxes within a few weeks.
