Taylor Swift Debuts New Era Tour Outfits for All Albums Except "Reputation"

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Returns On Thursday, May 9 at La Defense Arena in Paris, France, Swift returned from a two-month break to kick off the European leg of her tour with a remixed set list and fresh outfits styled by Joseph Cassell The biggest surprise, however, was the fact that each set was a different set. The biggest surprise, however, was not the updated costumes for each segment, nor the addition of The Tortured Poets Department to the lineup. It was the costumes Swift took off the glow-up list.

Taylor Swift debuted a custom Vivienne Westwood dress on the set of TPD and performed in upgraded outfits on her other nine albums, but never tweaked the look of Reputation. For her fan-anticipated sixth album, she remained in the exact same outfit she wore on the entire tour, a Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit with red beaded snakes.

Reputation has long been rumored to be on Swift's list of albums to re-record next as part of her "Taylor's Version" project. The lack of a fresh outfit for this period alone could be a sign that an album update is on the way. Of course, that might not mean anything deeper than the fact that Swift is already in top form, performing "Delicate" and "Look What You Made Me Do" in her original outfit. But it stands out as the only unchanged look in a three-hour show filled with costume changes.

More style news unfolded on the Eras Tour stage last night. Swift showed off her Tortured Poet Section-era fashion in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown. It featured a structured corset and snippets of Swift's "Fortnight" lyrics throughout the skirt. Later in the show, she layered a military jacket with tasseled sleeves, and at the end of the set, she removed the dress entirely, wearing a glittery black bra and a set of hot pants underneath.

Otherwise, Swift proceeded through the modified setlist, making slight adjustments to the outfits she has worn throughout the tour. For "Lover," which opened the show, she swirled around the stage in a variation of the custom Versace bodysuit and necklace she has worn on past tours. This time, however, the pink and orange sequins made for a sunset-like combination. She coordinated the look with Christian Louboutin ombre boots.

Swift then quickly changed into a fringed Naeem Khan mini dress. This new dress was a mix of silver and gold tinsel, much like the one she wore on the original "Fearless" tour.

In a new setlist that combined "Red," "Speak Now," and "Folklore" with "Evermore," Swift also tweaked outfits worn on previous tours: in "Red," she started with a custom Ashish shirt, snap-buttoned to a changed into a sequined ombre romper. For "Speak Now," she wore a lavender ball gown coated in crystal details, and for "Folklore" and "Evermore," she wore a fifth version of the tiered, ethereal Alberta Ferretti dress she had worn in previous

Switzer's dress was also worn in the past.

Swift's marathon costume changes did not end there: for "1989" she showed a Roberto Cavalli skirt set in aquamarine and flamingo pink, and for "Midnights" a fringed Zuhair Murad bodysuit with keyhole cutouts was shown. Each was matched with custom-made Louboutins.

She also premiered a new look for the sound set, an ombre high-low Roberto Cavalli halter gown with coordinated shoes.

There is still time for Swift to introduce a fresh look for Reputation. She is currently in Paris for a few nights, followed by several consecutive weeks on her European tour. It remains to be seen if Reputation's costumes will be a clue to something bigger. As of press time, no new Reputation looks have been released for any of the Paris nights (May 10 and 11). But as with most things Swift does, no one will know until she is ready to make a big announcement.

This post has been updated to include further outfit details.
