Jennifer Lawrence Masters Fashion Editors' Easy Sweater Scarf Styling Hacks

One thing about Jennifer Lawrence is that her everyday off-duty outfits are never just that. She is constantly finding interesting styling hacks to refine her street style outfits, especially considering that she is a relatively new mother. This time, Lawrence took a page out of fashion editors' books when she went for a walk with her family in New York City. In a recent photo shoot, she demonstrates the sheer variety of sweater outfits.

The No Hard Feelings star took to the streets of Manhattan to try out some playful styling tricks. She was spotted wearing a white Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles baby T-shirt with her son Cy and husband Cook Maloney on Tuesday (April 30). She paired the graphic T-shirt with long black pants and silver puffer slippers. Although the exact credit has not yet been given, her shoes resemble the cloud-like silhouette of the popular Japanese footwear brand Subu.

Lawrence kept it simple in terms of accessories, opting for a cream-colored baseball cap and oversized black sunglasses from the 2018 film Excellent Cadaver.

However, the standout "accessory" in Lawrence's look was her scarf situation. She wrapped a bright red sweater around her shoulders, giving the illusion that she was wearing a scarf (but with sleeves). [Most of us have long since removed the layers and found a playful way to put on clothes without having to carry a sweater around.

However, fashion has taken this effortless styling trick into the wardrobe over the past few years and reemerged it as its own trend. For the fall/winter 2024 season at New York Fashion Week, show attendees wore plush cardigans and colorful cashmere over their coats, tied around their shoulders, necks, and waists like schoolboy flashbacks. Celebrities like Sofia Richie Grange also embraced this styling when she attended the Tommy Hilfiger show.

Lawrence's sweater-scarf styling and silver puffer shoes are part of her mission to add a fun twist to everyday coordinates. She has a knack for thinking outside the box and casually thinking outside the box, experimenting with new colors like butter yellow and innovative layering like the "shirt sandwich."
