Read MoreBella Hadid doesn't usually repeat outfits. Instead, she steps into a trend she likes enough to repeat twice, each time with a new twist. This week, it's not Capri pants that she gave two thumbs up to. It's the lingerie dressing trend.
Heading to meet editors for a lunch celebrating her Ôrebella fragrance line, Bella Hadid wore a boudoir-inspired dress for the second time in 24 hours. The dress featured a white translucent bustier top leading into a tiered, ruffled skirt.
Hadid teamed up with stylist Molly Dixon to source the dress from up-and-coming designer Rokh. Founded in 2018 by former Celine designer Rok Hwang, the Paris-based label specializes in deconstructed pieces that fuse feminine materials with unexpected shapes and textures. This year, the brand also collaborated with H&M.
The model and slash fragrance scientist paired her dress with strappy vintage Chanel sandals and a chunky gold pendant necklace; while Rokh's runway styling is often experimental, Hadid's ruffles and understated accessories were perfect for a vacation somewhere on the European coastline. (7]
Just the day before, Hadid took on more Orebella business in a vintage tan corset dress provided by Dior. It was from Dior's Spring 2004 collection and featured petal-like embellishments befitting the "Garden of Time" theme of the 2024 Met Gala.
Taking innerwear outside the box is a trend with staying power in celebrity fashion. Everyone from Doja Kat to Emily Ratajowski to Kendall Jenner has worn corset-inspired tops and bustier dresses on and off the red carpet this awards season (and more stars are expected to hit the Met Gala carpet on Monday (and more stars are expected to hit the carpet at Monday's Met Gala).
Takeaway from Bella's back-to-back bustier dress: if you love a fashion trend, don't let it go. If you love a fashion trend, don't let it go. Find a bustier inspired by her Rokh dress and try it every chance you get.
