Beyonce Adds Another Layer to the Double Denim Trend

Beyonce Adds Another Layer to the Double Denim Trend

It's Beyonce's Wild West. Pop star Beyoncé is wearing a ten-gallon hat, fringe jacket, and bolo tie to accompany her new album, Cowboy Carter. But most of all, Bey is obsessed with blue jeans. No, "LEVII'S JEANS" is not just a song title; it is a lifestyle.

Beyonce wore a head-to-toe denim look in an Instagram slideshow posted last night, the latest in a few recent Canadian tuxedos. She strutted by a gorgeous indoor pool, posed on a sunny staircase, and stood by a Loni Horn sculpture with cowboy Jay-Z. Her stylist, Siona Turini, put together the outfit.

Bey wore a chambray shirt, half unbuttoned, tucked into high-waisted light-wash jeans that were somewhere between skinny and bootcut. She tied the look together with a large chestnut-colored leather belt with a large buckle and matching Cheyenne Mojave Western boots. A silver chain sparkled on her chest and a denim cowboy hat on her head. To top it off, a checkered blue and gray Isabel Marant coat was draped over her shoulders.

Last night's look was a classic, casual (casual for Beyonce) version of her typical all-denim outfit. For the past few weeks, Beyonce has been wearing denim chaps and slouchy denim pin boots. Early yesterday morning, Beyonce posted a photo of an Alexander McQueen dark wash denim corseted jacket and skirt set. [Beyonce is not the first star to embrace the denim-on-denim trend this year. Bella Hadid has been sporting a western-inspired wardrobe and wearing a Canadian tuxedo since she started dating her boyfriend, who is a professional cowboy. Gisele Bundchen is dressed like a ranch in a studded denim jacket, jeans, and a matching bra. Katie Holmes was spotted strolling in a tailored jeans and vest set. And Sydney Sweeney went for a glamorous look in Givenchy double denim.

So far, Beyonce is the first person to triple up with a coordinating hat. Given her influence on fashion, this won't be the last.
