Lady Gaga gets a new boyfriend in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.
Lady Gaga celebrated 2020 in Las Vegas with her show "Jazz & Piano" at the Park Theater, and according to TMZ (opens in new tab), after her performance on the Strip, she took to Brian Newman's "After Dark" show at NoMad restaurant ( opens in new tab), where she sang "Fly Me to the Moon" and danced with Newman's wife, Angie Pontani.
Later, Gaga had other social priorities, and TMZ reported that she had become intimate with "a dark-haired, bearded man named Michael." The site knew nothing else about the enigmatic, bearded Michael, but was certain that he "was not Bradley Cooper." (opens in new tab)"
Speculation about Cooper and Gaga began after their performance of "Shallow (opens in new tab)" at last year's Academy Awards, when the two sang a famous song from the 2018 film "The Birth of a Star," and it got pretty steamy on stage and fans (opens in a new tab), leading fans to wonder if there really was something else going on.
In the December issue of ELLE (opens in new tab), Gaga told Oprah Winfrey the story behind that romantic show. The chemistry wasn't exactly fake, but it didn't mean that she and Cooper were together, either.
"Frankly, I think the press is very stupid," she said of the rumors that persisted in the tabloids. 'I mean, we created a love story. We wanted people to believe that we were in love, as performers, as actresses, and of course, we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars. We wanted it to be seen through the lens of a camera and on every television set. And we worked hard for days. We orchestrated it as a performance."
