Hair ornaments decorated the Golden Globe Awards red carpet
If you need me, I'll play the Swan Lake soundtrack and hot glue rhinestones to my hair. Ballet-inspired embellishments were seen on everyone from Rooney Mara to Lucy Boynton, proving that even if New Year's Eve parties have become a distant dream, glittery hair is here to stay in 2020.
Exhibit A: Mara wore two Black Swan-style hairpieces on either side of her tight, side-parted bun.
Her super-toned eyebrows and delicate dress straps also give her a ballerina vibe.
Exhibit B: Lucy Boynton wore a sparkly hair ornament on the right side of her head:
This ornament matched her bold silver gown and gold and black glittery eye makeup.
Exhibit C: Thomasin McKenzie, who stars in Leave No Trace and will also appear in the upcoming Top Gun. I love this delicate, shimmering look, studded with tiny rhinestones.
So delicate, you can only see it from the back.
