Zoe Kravitz wore a perfect red lip at the Golden Globe Awards.
Red lipstick was a definite trend at Sunday's Golden Globes, and I'm going to declare it: the Zoë Kravitz red lip captured my soul and made me march straight to Sephora. Thankfully, there's no need for an armful of lipstick swatches to take the guesswork out of it: Kravitz makeup artist Nina Park shared all the product details with me on Instagram.
Park created a full face of YSL Beauty for Kravitz - surprising, given that the actor released a YSL lipstick line (opens in new tab) earlier this year and is also a spokesmodel for the brand. Park used the prune-colored Dessin de Reveal Lipliner and blended two shades of Tatoise Couture Liquid Matte Lipstain to create a deep scarlet hue. Nina and Zoë, consider your secrets copied!
Earlier this year, Kravitz told Marie Claire (opens in new tab) about the aforementioned lipstick collection she created with YSL Beauty. 'I wanted to start with the basics,' she said. Nudes and reds have always been my favorites. Different shades, different textures, different finishes to suit different skin tones." Kravitz continued.
Asked about the legacy she hopes to build in the beauty industry, she said, "When I see pictures of myself at airports and stuff, all I see around me are pictures of blonde white beauties. I want to represent all kinds of people. Whether they are brown or short, they are going to relate to me because they are different in some way from everyone else around them. I hope that my legacy will inspire everyone to recognize and love themselves."
