Madison Prewett's father, Chad Prewett, Auburn basketball coach

"The Bachelor" spoilers ahead. Madison Prewett, Peter Webber's early-season frontrunner for "The Bachelor" (open in new tab) and the first one-on-one date, is open about the love her parents share. She tells Weber, "I've always said I wanted to marry someone like my dad," and in the first episode, they bonded over their familial love. Of particular interest is Madison's father, Chad Prewett, who holds a prominent position as a coach at Auburn University. Chad appears in her intro package and her bio explains that he has coached her athletically as well.

Chad will return this season and play a key role. Let's explore what we know about him.

As confirmed in Madison's intro package, Chad is the Director of Operations for the Auburn University basketball team (open in new tab) (he has spent six years on head coach Bruce Pearl's staff). His social media is all about the Tigers and his family, sometimes both:

The family's social media also shows that their religion is really important to them. This will become important later.

This is giving me a Cassie Randolph vibe from Colton Underwood's Bachelor season. According to Reality Steve (opens in a new tab), Madison is on a hometown date and when Weber asks Chad for permission to ask her to marry him, Chad actually.... Refused. We don't know who Weber chooses, so we are undecided if that fact means he will not ultimately choose her. We also know, according to spoilers (open in new tab), that Madison is a virgin, so who knows what this means for the couple.

Chad mentioned his daughter's intro package on Twitter tonight, indicating that he is a) watching The Bachelor and b) giving his daughter public support.

So at least he has a sense of humor.
