Remember when the Sussexes and the Cambridges attended a polo match together shortly after Archie was born (opens in new tab)? And there were plenty of sweet photos of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton with all of their children; according to a new report from The Sun (opens in new tab) (the media outlet that scooped the bombshell news about Meghan and Prince Harry (opens in new tab)), William and Harry had a "falling out (open in new tab)" just before the match.

It is very unclear what the argument was about, but apparently things have become even more tense since then, with William reportedly accusing Harry of "changing leopards" and "speaking disrespectfully to the staff" (although I highly doubt Harry would do that?).

"It is utterly heartbreaking to see how damaged William and Harry's relationship has become," says one "senior royal official." 'They will always love each other as brothers, but things couldn't be worse than they are right now. William feels betrayed and let down by Harry. Harry feels like William and Kate never gave Megan a chance. And now they are leaving the country in this state."

William and Harry issued a joint statement (opens in new tab) prior to yesterday's summit, stating, "Despite clear denials, false articles speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge have appeared in the British press today. For brothers who care deeply about issues surrounding mental health, the use of such inflammatory language is offensive and potentially damaging."

This statement appears to refer to false reports that William is "bullying" Harry and Meghan. Meanwhile, the Queen issued her first public statement after Meghan and Harry's announcement (opens in new tab), expressing support for their decision:

Today, my family had a very constructive discussion about the future of our grandchildren and their families. Our family fully supports Harry and Megan's desire to build a new life as a young family. While we had hoped that they would remain full-time working members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their desire to lead a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family. Harry and Meghan have made it clear that they do not want to be dependent on public funds in their new lives. Therefore, we have agreed to a transition period during which the Sussex's will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex issues for my family to resolve and there is still work to be done, but I have requested that a final decision be made in the coming days.
