The Royal Court is looking for a Social Media Manager.

If you're ready for a job that will really blow every one of your LinkedIn connections away: the Historic Royal Palaces, the charity that manages Kensington Palace and other royal residences, is looking for a social media manager. On Friday, a job posting (opens in new tab) announced that Historic Royal Palaces is looking for someone who can "embody a 1000-year-old fortress in 280 characters."

So basically, if you know how to tweet, you already fit one of the requirements for this job! Laura Hutchinson, head of media and PR at the Palace, wrote about the job on Twitter: "Strong emoji game and wit are a must. (Check!)

interested" I bet. In this role, you will develop and own the social media strategy for Historic Royal Court. You will lead a team of two social media professionals to devise and implement social media campaigns for projects, events, and news at six world-renowned historic sites. The media and PR team will need to have a keen sense of sniffing out great stories to seek out opportunities to raise the profile and improve the reputation of Historic Royal Palaces.

These palaces are the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Bankington House, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.

Other duties include dealing with social media issues outside of normal working hours (hello, Harry and Megan! (opens in new tab)), fundraising for the Palace, etc. (opens in new tab) The full-time position requires all thumbs on deck (ha, get it?) and the starting salary is £38,978 ($50,783.27).
