About a month ago, I decided to make the most of my time in the house with some spring cleaning. I had a few things to do: worn heels from the sidewalks of New York City, sandals that were ripped from the seams, and sneakers that were so stained I felt sorry for them. I got rid of the most miserable of them all. Given the state of the world, I didn't need to replenish my entire collection, but I realized that I was missing a necessity: a pair of plain white sneakers that could be worn with anything.

I did some research and came across a collaboration between Outdoor Voices and athletic brand Hoka. It had great reviews and seemed to meet all my requirements: pure white, a bit rugged, and a versatile sneaker that could be worn for any activity. The sneakers arrived a week after I clicked order and were exactly what I had hoped for.

Aesthetically speaking, they instantly turned my isolated outfits up a notch, regardless of formality. It gave my sunny outfit a sporty spin, complemented my athleisure look, and added flair to my preppy new shorts (open with new tab). They're also functional. They support my legs on my regular walks around the neighborhood, and they're comfortable when I wear them to rest my feet on the ground in my apartment (opens in new tab). And they have revolutionized my increasingly frequent indoor workouts. Thanks to the sneakers' flexible soles, I can do deep stretches and keep a comfortable plank.

Basically, ever since these sneakers arrived, I've been floating around like Hermes (the Greek god of winged shoes, not the fashion house (open in new tab)). My exact HOKA x OV sneakers are currently sold out (I'm adding myself to the waiting list (open in new tab) for a few more pairs), but I found some similar white sneakers below that will work with your wardrobe as well.
