According to sources speaking to The Daily Mail (opens in new tab), the Duchess feels as if her "seething urge to put down roots from the UK" was fate and wants to use her voice for change. Furthermore, she is reportedly considering a career in politics.
"Meghan says her work as a leader is more important now than ever and that she is talking with Oprah and other community leaders about how she can be part of the solution," the source said. Megan has already used her voice and platform in the wake of George Floyd's murder and ongoing protests against police brutality. Speaking to students at Immaculate Heart High in Los Angeles (opens in new tab), the Duchess said, "As we all saw last week, what is happening in our country, in our state, and in our hometown of Los Angeles, is truly tragic. And so did many others whose names we know or do not know."
Megan and Harry are currently in the process of starting a new foundation called Archewell (opens in new tab), which (according to The Telegraph (opens in new tab)) will be a charitable nonprofit with volunteer work and an "extensive website."
