Some other fun facts about this videographer:

Rose's name comes from Rose Kennedy, the mother of John F. Kennedy (and eight other children). However, it was actually Jackie's idea to name her eldest grandchild, not Caroline's. The former first lady famously disliked her mother-in-law, but she once said, "An old bat is about 100 years old, so let's give her some respect." [Born the oldest daughter of Caroline and Ed, Rose grew up on the Upper East Side of New York City, near her grandmother's apartment." The "Grand Jackie" often came to the Schlossbergs' apartment to "rummage" with the baby. Later, she often took Rose to playgrounds and museums until her death in 1994, when Rose was five years old. On one visit to the American Museum of Natural History, she brought Rose and a family friend, Harvard economist John Kenneth Galbraith. He told biographer C. Davis Heyman (opens in new tab), "Rose was all over the place, 20 yards ahead of us, a real hell of a person." 'She reminded me of Jackie when she was younger. Rose was very intelligent and very independent."

In a family that has suffered tragedy, Rose's beloved uncle John's death in 1999 had a profound effect on her. 'After John's death, Rose withdrew,' a member of the Kennedy family told Heyman (opens in new tab). 'He was like a father figure to her. She was depressed for six months and barely spoke to anyone. She stopped eating and probably lost 30 pounds." And her uncle and grandmother affected her in other ways as well, leaving her a large trust fund, the family added. At age 14, "Rose had millions of dollars in assets."

After attending an exclusive Manhattan prep school, Rose headed to Harvard. She took film classes (just like her grandmother!) and She became interested in fashion and graduated in 2010 with a degree in English. Then, in May 2013, she received her MFA from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. (Her sister Tatiana (now a reporter for The New York Times) and brother Jack both attended Yale University.)

She may not have been active in campus politics, but that does not mean Schlossberg is not interested in the family business. She donated to Barack Obama's 2008 campaign and volunteered for Democrat Alan Kazee's unsuccessful Senate campaign, boosting her mother's political ambitions, but is later credited with advising her to drop out of the 2009 Senate race (in new tab (open in new tab).
