Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (opens in new tab) have surprised royal fans around the world by announcing their decision to step down from their royal duties and leave the UK, but not everyone was shocked by the move.

Arthur Edwards, royal photographer for The Sun, said he believes that Meghan "never intended" to stay in the UK from the beginning of her relationship with Harry (open in new tab).

According to The Sun, "With all the renovations to the house at Frogmore and all the money spent on it, she never intended to stay here," he told TalkRadio (opens in new tab). He added that staying in the U.K. "was not in her plans," and that Meghan "is dragging Harry along, and unfortunately he is going along with it."

Edwards further claimed that Harry's attitude has changed dramatically since he started dating Meghan (open in new tab).

"Unfortunately, in the last few years, [Harry] has gotten totally testy," he claimed. 'He didn't speak to me for a year. I have been shooting him since he was born and it was her fault."

Ultimately, however, it matters little when Harry and Meghan (open in new tab) made the decision to leave their royal life in the UK. All that really matters is that they make the best choice for themselves and their families.
