Naya Rivera's "Glee" Co-Stars Reunite at Piru Lake to Pay Tribute

This afternoon, just before the Ventura County Sheriff's Office held a press conference (opens in new tab) confirming the discovery of Naya Rivera's body, ABC7 (opens in new tab) captured a sad and bittersweet scene at Pill Lake. Rivera's "Glee" co-stars, along with Rivera's family, gathered at the lake (opens in new tab), holding hands and looking out over the water where Rivera spent his final days. As journalist Dave Quinn pointed out, today is also the seventh anniversary of the death of their co-star, Cory Monteith.

Several of Rivera's "Glee" co-stars have addressed her disappearance on social media. Heather Morris took to Twitter (opens in new tab) to volunteer to help search for Rivera over the weekend; on July 9, she thanked investigators and told fans to let the authorities continue their search. She wrote:

Thank you to Tulare County, Los Angeles County, San Luis Obisbo, and all who are now working tirelessly to search and recover our Naya. I have spoken with Sheriff Eric Bushaw and can rest assured that they are using every resource they have to locate Naya. I am confident they are doing everything they can and probably more. I would like to hold off on any civilian search and rescue until the volunteers are cleared. Please understand that it is 110 degrees here and without advanced training in search and rescue, this could be a much more dangerous situation for all involved. Please be kind, compassionate, and concerned for those searching for Naya.

Rivera's co-stars Amber Riley and Kevin McHale also tweeted about Rivera: Riley called out fans who attacked certain "Glee" cast members for not saying anything about Rivera on social media. 'Show some respect. 'All of our energy is helping in the search for Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family. No one is obligated to give a grief performance to anyone online. This is very real and tragic. Focus on Naya and her family. It is not about us. It is not about us right now."

McHale agreed with Riley's point, retweeting her post and adding We are completely devastated but not without hope. Please respect her family and their privacy. Please refrain from criticizing those who do not show their pain on social media."

Meanwhile, Lea Michele released three black-and-white photos on her Instagram Story this evening as a tribute to Rivera and Monteith:
