Gabrielle Union dances with her daughter Kaavia.

Two Icons Give to the Weekend: Gabrielle Union's "Lose Control" by Missy Elliott (featuring Ciara and Fatman Scoop), to which her daughter Carvia (opens in a new tab) and James Union Wade released a video of them dancing with the best of them having the most fun. Frankly, it is pointless to try to describe the joy of this video in words. Just watch them dance:

This is not the first time Union has given us such a gift. Let's see it again.

In other Union news: last week, she told "Cut" reporter Nana Agyemang why she doesn't want to "sit at the table" (opens in new tab). 'I don't want to sit at a table where I'm not welcome. If you barricade the door the whole time, I don't want to be the first black woman to walk through that door. They did not want you there. They hammered nails and barricaded the door to keep you out. They did not want you there. You have no power. Even if you were at that table, you would not be listened to; you would be made into a stranger," she explained.

"I am cool on that table. I am cool in that room. I'll try something else. People say, 'Don't stop. But I'm like, 'I can't,'" Union continued. When I get out of this segregation, whenever that may be, I want to do my part, not for myself, but to help launch as many projects as I can to help people of color in marginalized communities work both in front of and behind the camera." And I will struggle to put the most marginalized at the center. And if we all do our part, hopefully, when this reckoning is happening, we can rebuild all these industries in a radically different way."
