With more than a decade in the entertainment industry, it's no surprise that Taylor Swift has a few tips about preparing for the spotlight. She put them all to good use last night at the ACM Awards: Swift did her own hair, makeup, and styling for the event, People reports (opens in new tab).

According to People, Swift wore Stella McCartney from head to toe at this awards ceremony: a burgundy turtleneck with sequins, beige high-waisted pants, and black strappy sandals with chain detailing at the ankles to Finished off with black strappy sandals with chain detailing at the ankles. Her curly hair was pulled back into a low bun and her makeup was subdued, with an orange-red lip.

At the awards show, she premiered "Betty" from her eighth studio album, folklore, and during an appearance on country radio in August, she explained the story behind the song: "[James] has basically lost the love of his life and doesn't know how to get it back. I don't know how to get it back. (James) has basically lost the love of his life and doesn't know how to get it back. In music, I always love being able to take on another persona and sing from another person's point of view."

"Betty" revealed to the world the name of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' third child (open in new tab). Swift explained on country radio, "I named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids." Cute.
