Chrissy Teigen talks about her concerns about Trump's second term.
Unable to sleep, eat, carry on a conversation, breathe normally, or do anything other than update her election liveblog, she wonders how much panic a human being can endure before she passes out on the spot. She tweeted Tuesday night, "Compared to their fear if Biden wins, *our* fear if we lose is insane." It's like they're worried about bathroom safety when we all have a better chance of dying or becoming servants." Teigen's tweet reverberated across a wide swath of Twitter: the tweet had more than 200,000 likes at the time of publication and has been retweeted 21,000 times.
Teigen also shared a video of her and husband John Legend attending a rally for Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Monday night. Teigen lamented that she was unable to speak during her moment on stage, tweeting, "All I could get out was "Hi everyone!" That was all I could get out," he tweeted. This mouth of mine, that's all I could do. I am honored to support Kamala and Joe in Philly."
Legend performed at the Harris rally and invited Teigen and her children Luna and Miles on stage. According to a CNN report (opens in new tab), he said. 'My wife is here. My daughter Luna is here. My son Miles is here. I'm teaching young people early on to participate in democracy."
At the rally, Legend sang "Never Break," a song he dedicated to Teigen, who lost her son Jack in mid-pregnancy at the Billboard Music Awards in October (opens in new tab). 'I want to do a special song that I dedicated to my wife a while back. I know that the whole nation is going through a difficult time right now."
