Who is Felicity Blunt, wife of Stanley Tucci, sister of Emily Blunt, and a talented literary agent?
For those of us familiar with the family dynasties in Hollywood - Venus and Serena Williams, the Kardashians and the Jenners, the Knowles sisters - it is shocking to learn that there are A-list stars whose celebrity we do not know. So imagine our surprise when the world learned that Emily Blunt (open in new tab) has a sister, Felicity Blunt, who herself is a powerful literary agent, and that Felicity Blunt happens to be Stanley Tucci, aka the boyfriend of the Internet! Imagine that. Yes, really. Felicity, a London-based agent for Curtis Brown, is much more private than her husband and sister (since they are both celebrities and public figures), but she is very supportive of them in public, sometimes even allowing amateur photographers to capture their antics.
Felicity is heavily supportive of Emily, even attending red carpets and events:
If you need more evidence of their strong bond: Felicity is always tweeting about her sister (opens in new tab):
Emily is helped bring Felicity and her husband Stanley Tucci together: the two met (as is customary) at George Clooney's 2010 wedding to John Krasinski at his Lake Como mansion, and hit it off. 2012's Felicity and Stanley's wedding was apparently incredibly lavish: attendees included Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, and Steve Buscemi, who served as Stanley's best man.
Stanley gave us a glimpse into their home life with an Instagram drink-making video:
Felicity, operating the camera, laughs while her husband jokes and mixes one of his signature drinks, and the camera is on Stanley's "helpers" Emily and Krasinski (they're helping out with the garnish, apparently), and the four finally wish everyone Happy Holidays and laugh.
Felicity and Tucci have two children (son Matteo Oliver and daughter Emilia Giovanna). Felicity is also the mother-in-law of three children from Tucci's late wife, Kate Tucci, who died in 2009 after a battle with breast cancer: Camila and twins Nicolo and Isabelle.
Stanley shared on the "WTF With Marc Maron Podcast" (open in new tab) the strange coincidence that Kate and Felicity had actually met years earlier at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada in 2006:
"Right before we did that movie I found out that [Kate] had breast cancer. So I did the film, she started treatment, we had the premiere, and then she lived for over four years."
He added, "But then I met Emily there and we became friends. Actually, Felicity - Emily's sister, my wife - she and Kate were talking at the premiere that night, and I have a picture of them together. Very strange. And then many years later, I ended up marrying Felicity."
He also said he felt guilty after proposing to Felicity (opens in new tab). 'Then I instantly panicked. 'At first it was really hard to go on vacation, really hard to go anywhere with Felicity. I felt guilty. It was horrible. Seeing Felicity again relatively soon after Kate's death only added to his feelings." There are pictures at home. Not that many, but it was a struggle," he told The Times.
"Especially when we first met, it had only been two years since Kate's death."
In 2021, Stanley said candidly that he still grieves for his wife: "It's still hard after 11 years, and it will continue to be hard...It's still hard after 11 years, and it will continue to be hard. But I don't think she would want that sadness to rule her life. She never wanted that. She was not that kind of person."
The two are very private about their children, but Felicity occasionally shares a little bit about her (adorable) home life:
Brandt is a literary agent at the British agency Curtis Brown (open in new tab) and she landed there after training to become a barrister. In addition to cookbooks, she has written thrillers, suspense crime, and historical and literary fiction for Curtis Brown. One of her books is Laura Marshall's Friend Request (opens in new tab).
Stanley and Felicity share a love of food, drink, and books and co-authored The Tucci Table: Cooking With Family and Friends (opens in new tab) in 2014. You're probably already familiar with the viral video of Stanley making Felicity a Negroni:
and since then, there have been more booze and food-making videos featuring Stanley hamming it up in front of the camera and Felicity as an amateur photographer:
Felicity has uses social media to rave about the author's accomplishments, talk about projects she is excited about, and encourage her loved ones' work. Earlier this year, she retweeted the cover of her husband's new memoir, Taste (opens in new tab). The Most Supportive Spouse" The Most Supportive Spouse.
