Ryan Reynolds was recently honored as an innovator in entertainment and entrepreneurship as part of the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards in New York City.

In his acceptance speech, he gave a nice shout-out to his wife Blake Lively for all that she gives to his life. Said Reynolds (via E! News (opens in new tab)), "I want to thank my wife Blake." She is a genius, a renaissance woman, and pushes me in ways I never imagined.

A few days ago, Reynolds posted on Instagram (opens in new tab) about the WSJ award. He was featured in the magazine's feature titled "How Ryan Reynolds Built a Business Empire." In the caption, the star wrote, "Thanks @wsjmag for the feature! And thanks for sharing the news that I built a business empire. I'll be sure to investigate when I figure out how to log into my email."

Reynolds and Lively are famous for lovingly and humorously goofing off on each other every chance they get. For example, in an interview Reynolds gave earlier this year (opens in new tab), he praised his wife's parenting skills during the pandemic, saying, "Blake was very good at it.

On how they met, the Free Guy (opens in new tab) star said, "Blake and I met at Green Lantern, the darkest crease in the anus of the universe. We then double dated about a year and a half later, but we were dating different people."

He went on to say, "I was a little bit of a mess, but I was a little bit of a mess.

He continued, "We were hanging out, we were always in touch, but it was kind of casual. Next thing you know, she was going to Boston and I was going to Boston. We got on the train together, and then I asked her to sleep with me."

Apparently, this did not end badly for him. A week later I said, 'Let's buy a house together. And we did. No, I didn't cry, I got trash in my eye.
