Blake Lively Directs Taylor Swift's New Music Video

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift are truly great friends and now colleagues. For the past two years, Taylor Swift has given her fans more than they could have imagined with two new albums and re-releases of older material, including previously unreleased songs. But now is the season of giving, and Swift (open in new tab) continues to be a generous soul.

Following the release of "Red (Taylor's Version)" on November 12, she announced on Twitter (opens in new tab) that she will release a video for her new song "I Bet You Think About Me." The music video will premiere today, November 14, at 10 a.m. and is directed by Swift's good friend Lively (opens in new tab) (insert witty remark here about their last names both being adjectives).

"Surprise!" . Swift (open in new tab) tweeted. 'Finally got to work with the brilliant, brave, and wickedly funny @blakelively on her directorial debut. Cheers with us. She also released a preview of the video, which features a handful of elaborately iced red velvet wedding cakes, followed by credits that read "Written by Blake Lively (and) Taylor Swift" and "Directed by Blake Lively."

The replies to Swift's tweets were suitably impressive. One person (opens in new tab) wrote, "Have you ever relaxed for 10 minutes?" and another (opens in new tab) replied, "'Have you ever relaxed' (Taylor version) (10 minute version) (from the vault)."

Lively took a more low-key route and simply shared a link to the music video (opens in new tab) without further comment. It would have to speak for itself.
