ICYMI, Britney Spears is finally a free woman. After a long court battle involving her father, who has been her conservator for most of the last 13 years, the star's 13-year conservatorship ended on Friday, November 12.

Now things are seriously looking up for the singer (and, lest we forget, aspiring novelist). Spears was able to celebrate thoroughly this past weekend, as she should.

"What a great weekend ...... I felt like I was on cloud nine the whole time!!!" she wrote on Instagram. 'Last night I had my first glass of champagne at the most beautiful restaurant I've ever seen! I'll be celebrating my freedom and B-Day for the next two months !!!!!!!!!!!!."

Spears' birthday is December 2, and she is a Sagittarius.

Spears knows she deserves such a celebration and took the opportunity to thank those who have supported her through this difficult time. 'Thirteen years later ...... I've waited long enough!" she continued. I am so glad that my attorney, Matthew Rosengart, came into my life ...... He really turned my life around: ...... I will be forever grateful for that!" She continued! I can't believe so many people are celebrating my victory ....... I love my fans so much...... So thank you!!!"
