Prince William "flirts" with Kate Middleton, insiders say.
Prince William has vehemently defended his wife Kate Middleton when he feels she is not being respected.
Speaking to the Daily Mail as part of a feature on the Duchess of Cambridge's upcoming 40th birthday, a source revealed, "He gets very agitated if there is any indication that Kate is being disrespected, and he is quick to stamp it out. That's one of his triggers. Over the years, many people have come up with great ideas for her, but when they are delivered in a condescending way, they are taken quite lightly by him."[3 [The Duchess's former private secretary, Rebecca Priestley, also spoke to the Mail and vividly described her boss behind closed doors. When I asked her about her philanthropic plans, "Catherine clearly had a lot on her mind and was very clear that for her, it was about listening and learning."
Another source who had worked for the Cambridges described the dynamics between the couple with regard to supporting the cause, explaining that they had decided early on to take things slow. 'And that is exactly what she has done with William as her guide. William has encouraged her to take things gradually, saying, "This is for you to figure out what you want to do." He may not shout from the rooftops about equality, but they are a true partnership."
The Cambridges have often been praised for injecting a much needed modernity into the royal family, especially as their role evolves toward Prince Charles' coronation. in August, royal expert Kent Gavin said of them, "Kate and William are very different, and they do things in very different ways. They are brilliant. It's the best the royal family can have." Good for them
