Khloe Kardashian "will never get Tristan Thompson back" after paternity scandal, insider claims

Khloe Kardashian may have forgiven Tristan Thompson for his past indiscretions, but not this time around, a source claims.

This week it was confirmed that the basketball player had a child with Texas-based woman Maralee Nichols, who became pregnant with a boy while dating Kardashian, and sources claim that the "Good American" founder will not be getting back together with Thompson

"The couple had a baby boy together during their relationship.

"Tristan wants to make everything right with Khloe," a source told Us Weekly.

"He wants her back, but she won't take him back romantically after finding out about his affair. This was the coup de grace."

After revealing that a paternity test confirmed that the father of Nichols' child was in fact the father, Thompson made a public apology to the mother of his daughter True. 'Chloe, you don't deserve this,' he wrote on Instagram Stories. 'You do not deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You do not deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions are certainly not consistent with the way I see you. I have the utmost respect and affection for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am truly sorry."

Nichols, for his part, issued a rebuttal statement through his public relations consultant, Harvey Englander. There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols' baby," Englander told Us Weekly. Tristan has made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past several months."

A text allegedly sent by Thompson to Nichols was leaked at some point during the ordeal and contradicted his latest statement that "I look forward to raising our son amicably."

We do not know if it is authentic at this time, but in that text, the athlete supposedly wrote: "I am looking forward to raising our son amicably. This is completely incorrect. You know I am retiring at the end of this season. So, in terms of support, whatever an unemployed person needs each month. You should take the $75,000 I am offering. Because when you have a child with an unemployed father, all you get is a child with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars a month in child support."

Kardashian's ex-husband Lamar Odom seemed to respond to the situation in a comment on a Facebook post shared by the Instagram account @commentsbycelebs. Odom wrote, "I truly wish only the best for her and hope she can be reunited as the good person and friend she deserves in the world."
