Mary-Kate Olsen & Ashley Olsen offer condolences on the tragic passing of Bob Saget: "The most loving, caring, generous person."
Bob Saget, best known for his father Danny Tanner on "Full House," died on January 9 at the age of 65.
Saget was a beloved figure in Hollywood, and celebrities who knew him gathered to mourn his passing and celebrate his life.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Danny's daughter Michelle, usually keep out of the public eye as much as possible, but took this sad occasion to issue a statement to People.
"Bob was the most loving, caring, and generous person. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us, but know that he will continue to be with us and guide us with the same grace he has always done."
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to his daughters, wife, and family."
Candace Cameron Bure, aka D.J. Tanner, said, "I don't know what to say. There are no words. Bob was the best human being I have ever known in my life. I loved him so much."
Josh Radner of How I Met Your Mother also honored Saget in a Twitter thread. Bob Saget was the older, wiser "me" for nine years of How I Met Your Mother. He was the kindest, loveliest, funniest, most cooperative guy. The easiest person to be around. A mensch among mensches," he wrote.
"When HIMYM started, I had very impostor syndrome and thought I would be found, kicked off the set, and sent home. Early on, when I ran into Bob on the Fox lot, he praised my performance and told me how he was studying me to make sure his vocal performance felt right," Radnor continued.
"This man, whom I had been delighted to see on television for years, supported me and told me that I had a right to be there and play that character ....... I can't say enough about how much his words meant to me. (He also told me jokes that I wouldn't have been able to tell even here in polite company.)"
Saget's family also released a statement to Us Weekly. "We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today."
"He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together in laughter.
The actor was found dead in his Florida hotel room on Sunday after Saturday's performance.
