'Too Hot to Handle' Season 3 Filmed in Real Paradise

Don't get me wrong, the Mexican villa in the first season of Too Hot to Handle was gorgeous. But seasons 2 and 3 of "Too Hot to Handle" look as if they were filmed in an actual paradise, with sparkling blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lush landscapes; with 4.5 acres worth $10,000 a night on the peninsula, who needs sex, kisses, or intense caresses? (Well, if anyone needs it, it's these people. I digress!)

Seasons 2 and 3 of Too Hot to Handle were filmed consecutively on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Specifically, the villa for Too Hot to Handle is the Turtle Tail Estate (opens in new tab), which rents for $10,000 per night. (Open in new tab) Let's walk, not run! If only it were $10,000! (Plus $10,000 for the security deposit!)

So why did the venue change from the first season? First of all, the contestants in seasons 2 and 3 were tricked into thinking they were on a completely different show - "Party in Paradise" in season 2 and "Pleasure Island" in season 3 - and that they were in the villa made famous by "Too Hot to Handle" season 1, which led to a giveaway! Perhaps it was the fact that they were in the villa made famous by "Too Hot to Handle" season 1 that led to the giveaway. Second, and more urgently, COVID-19's safety protocols forced the move from the original villa Mexico.

According to the Radio Times, previous guests of the Turtle Tail Estate include Rihanna and Diddy (formerly P. Diddy). When you book a private peninsula, you get access to the entire resort, plus your own chef and butler. The resort is operated by Edge Retreat, a luxury vacation rental platform with more than 20 private islands in 50 countries.

According to the Caribbean Journal, the Turtle Tail property "has a gym, wine cellar, game room, oceanfront office, lighted tennis courts, hardwood beachfront deck, and top-of-the-line video and audio systems." The Journal described it as "one of the most spectacular residences in the Caribbean."

Filming of Season 2 and Season 3 is believed to have taken about two months each. The Season 2 cast members said they stayed for a total of about eight weeks, with longtime cast member Chase DeMoore saying: "We were there basically the whole month of November and December. (Also of note here: if that's the winter resort, can you imagine any other season?)

In the ultimate Netflix crossover, Christine Quinn of "Sunset" narrated the estate's tour:
