It's been a long time since a book launch has caused so much drama.

So far, the release of Prince Harry's forthcoming memoir has reportedly left royals "quaking in their shoes," drawing criticism for its proximity to the Queen's Jubilee ceremony and rumored to have the potential to hurt Prince William greatly. Ugh.

The Royal Family may be silent in public about their enfants terribles graffiti, but in private, they seem to be working around the clock to ensure that neither their emotions nor their public image are seriously damaged.

Prince Charles seems to fear that the book will be a "blistering indictment" of Camilla Parker-Bowles, who had an affair with Prince Charles when she was still married to Harry's mother, Princess Diana.

Prince Charles is reportedly trying his luck with his eldest son, Prince William, after doing his best to befriend his youngest son in a recent Newsweek essay using the figurative expression of a pat on the back.

"Prince Charles shares concerns with Prince William and hopes he will somehow cover for Camilla if the book attacks her," a source told The Sun.

"But William would not want to get involved, as much as he loves his father. He will probably try to remain neutral."

From the outside, this certainly seems like the right course of action for the Duke of Cambridge. The Duke of Cambridge, who previously had a close relationship with his brother, has suffered considerably as a result of the Sussex couple's departure from British and royal life. Speaking out against Harry could further exacerbate their relationship.

Despite some reported efforts at reconciliation, things remain quite cold between the two brothers, and one can only hope that their bond will be restored soon.
